#@!% iTunes

iTunes is now asking for my password every time I download something from the store. After entering it, it takes me to the account verification page. What is going on? Apple had solved this problem as part of one of the last version upgrades.

Edit: I iTunes running all the time. I could understand some of this if I shut it down.

And you have it check-marked to remember your password?

Here you go:

By the way, you should ensure that iTunes is up-to-date using Software Update.

But is the issue regarding what happens when something is purchased/downloaded or when played afterwards? The OP seems to be referring to the former but that support doc only mentions the latter.

I could play and access all items on any of my computers. The issue was that any time I tried to download anything, I had to enter my password. I had the check box checked. Once I entered my password, it would bring up my account info and credit card for verification. Each time, I verified the info and clicked "Ok."

Everything is back to normal now, or at least appears to be. Keeping fingers crossed as it was beginning to be a real pain. I'm guessing that there was some issue on the iTunes server as I didn't change anything on my Mac.
