Early birthday present for my wife was a new MB to replace the 7 year old TiBook. She was totally surprised as she expected me to replace my MBP with new one and pass the older one to her. But instead she gets the new box and I purchased 10.6 and installed it on my MBP (I like to have our main computers on the same OS).
The new MB is pretty sweet. The 13 inch screen is a little small for me, but she likes it and is just happy to have something that she can really use.
10.6 on the old MBP is great. At first I was worried because everything was really slow... but then I gave spotlight time to index and everything is snappy as heck. I am trying to replace all of my old PowerPC programs with Intel versions and have done so with everything but one... Office. I have Macros in Excel that I use daily... so I guess I'm stuck with Office 2004 (grrrr).
