I'm fairly certain Trouble was just being facetious with his calling Landrieu a "Republican".

A politician catering to the principle industry in the area she represents - who woulda thought. Next thing you know we may hear of a quote from Charles Grassley (Repub. Sen., Iowa) about how he favors farm subsidies even though it is against conservative economic principles. Maybe somebody will facetiously state, "Tough words from Democrat Charles Grassley," and it will sound ever so clever to somebody.

Yeah but Ted in order for that "joke" to work the writer has to be someone who normally gets facts correct, therefore readers instantly understand he's being sarcastic, or whatever.
So in this case, not working...

I didn't realize that the liberals on this board were completely ignorant of Landrieu's political party. Oh wait, that is what you didn't realize. I knew that people here would know Landrieu's political party.
