GraphicConverter 7 worth the $26 upgrade fee?
#1
I use GC fairly regularly, but I haven't dug into version 7 enough to know if it is worth upgrading from 6.7. Thoughts?

Not yet according to some people who use GC6 regularly. Apparently there are a few features from 6 which are not implemented as nicely as in 6.

GC is one of those apps that is so good, and so universally used on almost every Mac that Apple should just by the company and integrate it into the OS.

GC6 always annoyed me. They would put out a new version every other week yet refused to integrate sparkle or some other update mechanism. So just about every time I launched it a dialog would pop up "GC has been updated. Would you like to download the newest version? or something like that. So I'd have to go to the site, download the new version, close the old version, delete the old version, go to the downloads folder, copy the new version over, then relaunch it.

Consistently annoying.

I sear I bought a lifetime license years ago, I haven't had to pay for an upgrade in years.

Me too. The developer broke that promise when OS X came out.

and it looks like the promise is now broken for me too, upgrade to 7 will cost me, but hey- it's worth it.
