So what ?
I know Miles was great, especially as a phrase-ologist and a composer, but that video of Trane blowing those lines brings me to my knees. I'm just a sax-man at heart, I guess.

I love listening to Jazz, but... it's just not the same without a jazz club or coffee house environment. Something about the acoustics and the way the crowd stops and just.. listens. It just comes in clearer and sweeter when there is a still in your heart and a hush in the room.

Haven't heard it for years.

I believe it was you, ka jowct. Am I wrong? I don't remember, but it's certainly one that I would have recommended. |
