I thought maybe Dropbox could, and it can, but only with other DB users. I'd like to make folders of photos available to family for downloading. But the Dropbox Public folder only lets you share individual files, and the Photo folder only seems to let people view in a gallery.
So is there another option, short of creating an FTP site?
And if FTP, what's the easiest way to do it?

Facebook, smugmug... or FTP with a standard shared webhosting account like dreamhost or pair.

You have mobileme? Does it easily.
Otherwise just about any other photo sharing site -- photoshop.com is one of my favorites (even tho I kinda hate to promote adobe...)

If you have a way to upload files to the web, just make a zip file of the folder with the pix, then make an html file with a link to the .zip file. It will download when users click on it.

Make a ZIP file; dropbox.
