Stop this stupidity!!! Now!

Simply put the SATA drivers for the machine on a USB flash drive and put the flash drive on the machine. When durning the XP install you are asked if you have any other drivers to load and press an "F" key, press the bloody "F" key. The Windows installer will get to a point where it will then ask where your drivers are, navigate the installer to the USB drive. All will be good.

Now stop it!!!

Cheers!

Yes. Assuming your computer can boot from SATA, you simply need the drivers. I have a copy of Windows XP (maybe SP1, definitely not newer) and it installs on SATA.

On a PC, set the BIOS for SATA to IDE if you're having problems. On a Mac, you need SP2 or greater (IIRC) to install via boot camp.
