anyone use fluidhosting? (and pulling their hair out?)
#1
I've been using fluidhosting (don't bother going to fluidhosting.com because their site is down) for 3 years and it's been great. Great service, really amazing. Until recently. They moved their servers to a different data center and there have been constant problems since then. Currently, their mail server is down. Estimated ETA for getting it back up: 12-24 hours. One of my sites (they allow multiple domains under one account) is down for no seemingly logical reason, they recently got blacklisted by spamcop and didn't tell anyone, the support seems to have slowed down considerably. Maybe because of christmas, I don't know. I can't even post on their forum.fluidhosting.com becuase I can't activate my registration. Yes I'm ranting. So of course, feeling hurt and abandoned I'm thinking it's time to ditch 'em. I thought about dreamhost, which has great-sounding plans. But frankly, I think I recall hearing about a really heavy problem they had in the past couple of years. Like a days-long outage. So you get what you paid for and all that. But what about redundancy? Why the fark should a mail server go down for so long? Are they building a new machine? Restoring from tapes?

You hear me? You want to recommend your host which you're happy with? You want I should shut up? Ok.
