All of these things would be better served syncing over-the-air via the so-called cloud.

If you are in a place that has enough bandwidth, and chances are that doesn't include your cellular data provider or most WiFi.

This is a Cali state of mind I guess, where high-bandwidth is available everywhere and you don't sweat your cell/bandwidth bill; it gets paid automatically via credit card every month. I can see a lot of promise in this new system but also a lot of cracks. They'll all get worked out over time, of course, but the birthing process might be a little painful.
