This week has not started well for me...
#1
So Monday I got stung on the lip by a bee. Yesterday I was tilling the garden with my small gas powered tiller and the cast metal bracket that holds the whole rotating tine thing to the motor snaps off. Tiller is now junk so I bought a new one last night.

Today I dropped my neighbor off after going grocery shopping and when I put my truck into reverse I hear a loud [snap] [whine] and the truck starts to roll forward....while in reverse. Fortunately there's a rear exit from her driveway so I drove across the street and parked in my driveway.

My mechanic stopped by and the verdict is transmission is shot...AND it's only Wednesday! At this rate I may be in the hospital for major surgery by Friday!

Anyone know a good source for a used 4L60E Chevy transmission? :banghead: :cursin: :drink:

sorry to hear this. I stay away from auto trannies as much as possible. Usually less reliable, less efficient and more expensive than good old stick.

Find someone you don't like and volunteer to work around their house and on their car.

And I thought my day was bad having to mop up the flooded laundry area due to our washer's busted water hose. There will be sunrise tomorrow morning for both of us, Jack D.

Had to work outside yesterday on a photo shoot when it was 95ยบ and no clouds. Shooting roof racks with kayaks on a black car for five hours. Saturday I had to cut up and dispose of old wooden fence. Had to move it to my driveway but hadn't gotten on my work clothes and shoes yet. I was carrying a piece when I tripped on something, stumbled and stepped right on a nail protruding from the fence. On Sunday, I had to move some other old lumber and carefully grabbed between some very long nails. But for some reason there were finishing nails protruding that I didn't see and stuck one right into my thumb. Yes, I got a tetanus booster about five years ago ( a whole 'nother story).
There's a better day coming for us all.
