I downloaded the Orioles' schedule from MLB.com. On my iPhone it has an annoying alarm for EVERY SINGLE #%€£?! GAME. Not only that, but the alarm sounds twice. Since the events don't repeat, I can't strip the alerts that way. I don't want to stop alarms on my other calendars. Is there any way to strip the alerts from just the MLB schedule? Thanks, Gutie

Thanks. I guess I have a different version of iCal, because my choices are "Ignore Alarms" and "Events affect availability." Checking "Ignore alarms" does not make a difference. My iPhone still beeps to remind me that Baltimore will be playing the Nats at 7 p.m. tonight.
I am running Snow Leopard and my iCal version is 4.04.

I would delete all of the entries and use the subscribe to function in iCal using the URL from MLB. Then you get the window shown in Clay's post. I have done this and set it to update daily. Neat thing with this is that it updates played games with the final score.

Got it! Clay, thanks, and thanks macphanatic--I had downloaded the calendar, not subscribed to it. I deleted, subscribed and my sanity is restored. Plus I get past scores, which is depressing but not as depressing as last year! Thank you both.
Cheers, Gutie

"It just works" is the Apple way.
Or so I've heard.
