Crazy Idea? Fax without physical landline?

Would it be possible to set up a fax machine without a solid landline? Alternately would a product like Magic Jack provide a phone number connection that would work? My mind goes strange places when it wanders and wonders.

MagicJack does have Fax support...And there are internet fax services(though, I have only faxed 2 pieces of paper in my life).

I have faxed with my MagicJack---it is hit or miss, and may take many times to go though

I'm hit-or-miss with a fax machine connected to a Vonage line.

My business line is a RingCentral VoIP PBX which comes with a desktop fax client app. That seems to work great for the limited amount of faxing I have to do.
