Moving is a lot of work...

I'm moving to a new house (out of NYC). It's a pain to pack everything. FiOS will take about 3 weeks of waiting to install...not sure if the kids can handle being unplugged for that long. ;-)

There was a stretch were we moved 5 times in 8 years, once trans-Pacific. I hate it. Very frustrating to move the same box of stuff 2 or 3 times that never got unpacked between moves.

The last time we moved, I wanted to put this quote on our change of address notification postcards we sent to friends. Mrs. cbelt3 made me change it.

Moving is more fun than all matter of things.... My parents were very poor and we moved a lot.
But through those experiences I learned many useful lessons regarding moving and moving heavy stuff, including being organized.

I am Grateful for all those lessons *(:>*

I just moved a 3 months ago. I was finally able to unpack more than a dozen boxes of books and notebooks! I ended giving the notebooks to my daughter for her high school history courses!
