Houma, La has already had over 4.5" rain

At 10:15 pm local (Central) time. Storm was only moving north at 4 mph. Some areas may get as much as 20" of rain.

Tropical Storm Lee will dominate our weather through the entire Labor Day weekend. As the storm meanders just off the coast, expect torrential rain at times, winds up to 40-60 mph with up to 75 mph in gusts, and storm surge on mainly southern and eastern facing coastlines.

Click on the map for a video of the latest forecast.

It's not a hurricane, and the area needs rain almost as much as Texas, but it might not be pretty.

We need Nash Roberts!

Good luck.

I wonder if the rain is going to put out that swamp fire?

Man 20" is a lot of rain. They're saying starting Labor Day we may have 5-6 days of rain her in NC. Some
places like where we are need it bad but not 20". I don't think the storm had been named when I last
checked on it yesterday.

It started raining here in PCB around 6:45am. We are just getting the outer band of Lee. Hopefully it won't rain ALL weekend.

vision, the marsh wildfire was already out before this happened, but boy, could we have used this a few days earlier. It was literally smoky everywhere, and the rain would have taken care of that for sure!

Me personally, other than the flooding, I'm glad for the rain. It washes away all sorts of nasties. Especially smoke particulates and pollen.

Mother Nature has her way about herself. I hope everyone can get some good rain without the damages.
