Taking Illustrator CS5 ACE exam - any tips?
#1
I'm taking the ACE exam next Friday. I'm currently using the CS5 classroom in a book and the CS5 help files .pdf for the areas mentioned in the bulletin that are not covered by the book.

I've been using AI in it's various permutations steadily since Illustrator 88 (on a floppy that also held the OS; aka the olden days :-)).

I did just take a practice test from a company called "ExamAid" and was humbled (in a bad way) by the practice questions. I haven't been nervous about taking the real exam until now.

Any AI / ACE forum users out there with some recommended reading or sites?

Good luck. Why are you taking this test? Do you teach Illustrator somewhere, and need the certificate?

Those kind of questions drive me crazy. Being able to regurgitate obscure details about keyboard commands is not the same thing as knowing how to use an application efficiently and with a degree of mastery.

Good luck, evilrobot. Let us know how it goes. I'd be interested to know what you think of the exam.
