Recommendations for all-inclusive Mexico vacations?
#1
Trying to plan our Spring Break early and want to do a beach vacation.

Thinking about an all-inclusive resort in or around the Cancun area (i.e., fly into Cancun). However, that's not a requirement...can go to other places within Mexico. But just trying to limit ourselves to maybe a 2 hour flight from Houston.

Anyway, it of course needs to be kid-friendly and maybe even perhaps geared towards kids' activities. The kids are 5 and 7 so nothing geared towards teens or tweens.

We went to one when our older son was about 18 months old. I think it was called Xcaret or something like that. It was nice, but want to go somewhere different now.

I looked at Beaches (the family version of Sandals I believe), but the only locations are in Jamaica and Turks and Caico. Too long of a flight so let's just stick to either Mexico or even something in the US if it's appealing.

Thanks for any suggestions based on experience, hearsay, rumors, etc.!

Twice we did ClubMed Mexico. Cancun and near Guaymas.
Excellent. With kids too.

ClubMed Sonora Bay, kids loved playing in the circus acts.

We went to all-inclusives in Mazatlan, twice, cause the first time seemed nice. The second time the time-share salesmen were thicker than flies. Couldn't escape them. They would come into a restaurant and sit down at your table! And the restaurant would let them.

Between that, and the drug violence, never again. I'd be inclined to look at Cancun.

I did several ClubMed vacations as a child with my parents, so thanks for the reminder to check them out again. I'm sure things have changed in the interim 30 years or so.
