Junk or Free Item worthy?
#1
Two things I'd like to get rid of, but it would be a shame to see them tossed on the e-waste pile:

•HP DeskWriter 2279A - serial/AppleTalk printer; has one or two empty cartridges; don't know if they'd take to being refilled. I can probably dig up the driver diskettes as well.

-Yamaha 4416 CD burner - SCSI interface

Both are in their original packaging, with all the manuals, etc.

I had one 4416. I think I sold it for $35 about 10 years ago Smile

EDIT: give it to cbelt3, I think he keeps posting about a beige Mac that he can't seem to unload. Maybe he finds a taker if he some peripherals to go with it.

It never fails for me, I run a few ads on LEM to try to sell cheap/give away my old SCSI stuff. I never get any response so I recycle. A week later someone is running a wanted ad for the same crap.

Boy, have I got a pot load of SCSI external crap and cables. Back in the day… But now I suppose the recycle depot is the only place for it.

Still occasionally use my SCSI CD burner, and it is faster than that. Otherwise might have been interested as I still have a few legacy systems that only have SCSI as a connection interface.

Ditto; still have the [relatively speaking] newer 8X version Yammy in a two bay box w/ a 4.5GB SCSI HDD... it's the go-to fixer upper for all things SCSI. Got rid of the 4416's many moons ago.

Hey, maybe our sponsor will come out with a SCSI to Thunderbolt converter cable one of these days.
