GuyGene,

I actually use iCab for the iOS on both my ipad and iPhone. Great browser! I had it on my macs a very long time ago but was never a fan. On the iOS, I like it quite a bit and use it instead of Safari. I'll have to check out Axis now. Same goes for Chrome.

I used to use iCab way back too. I stay away from google stuff if possible, so don't use Chrome.

I like iCab, even on the desktop. I do miss the days when iCab had its own rendering engine. Switching to Webkit helps iterate the browser functionality faster (much less time spent on the underlying rendering engine), but older versions of OS X, with older versions of Webkit, make for a less secure iCab browser. I no longer use iCab as my go to browser for older Macs. Although, the granularity of the settings makes locking down security easier on iCab versus Safari, so not all is lost.

iCab Mobile is fantastic. I no longer need a separate unzip app or PDF viewer. iCab added the ability for folders, even nested ones, so organizing downloaded PDFs from within iCab is a cinch. I don't think iCab will bookmark your location in the PDF, so not perfect, but still better than being stuck with Safari.

I'm pretty set with my iOS browsers. Opera mini for slow connections. iCab for everything else. I'll give Yahoo Axis a look anyway. I like Dolphin on Android so I probably should give the iOS version a shot as well.
