I don't know when or where I bought the Simoniz Wood Fix-it spray for wood but does it restore the awful scratches to like new! Highly recommend. The pkg said "as seen on TV" but I know I didn't bu on TV...must have picted up at the drug store or ?

The top of a 1940 card table looks new!

Staples has an "as seen on TV" section as does I think CVS.

Unfortunately, it probably contains thick silicone, which will make refinishing in the future VERY difficult.

Well, it might not be too bad for the wood:

INGREDIENT
Water, Hydrotreated Light Distillates, Paraffin Wax, Calcium Carbonate, Tall oil, amine salt

Yes, it puts finish on the surface like clear coat not just soaking in of color in scratches which fades. Since this is an ancient card table my kids will probably burn in the fireplace when I'm dead, I'm not concerned about refinishing. I concerned with how it looks while I'm alive and using it !

Yes, Walgreens, CVS etc have "as seen on TV" sections and I must have picked it at one of these places.

well, it is wax and some light solvent so the wax goes on easy and the solvent flashes off. If it works, then great.
