[Home Repair] Source for porch lights?
#1
I'm looking to replace a couple exterior home lights. We looked at Home Depot. Wasn't really thrilled by the selection. Found some cool lights online, but they're $$$. What's a good site to look at for such lighting?

Any suggestions on things to look for or stay away from? We want something with a silver/light metal finish - not chrome, black or bronze.

Lamps Plus?
Lowes and HD both have catalogs you can look at.

?

Things (I think) to look for/stay away from:

1) Avoid things that use custom light bulbs, better they take the regular sized bulbs

2) Motion- or night-time activation is nice, but can be more trouble than it's worth... it's one more thing to break, and can cause the light to go off when it's shouldn't

3) Design is a matter of personal preference, but I tend to like more old-fashioned looking and less the modern styles

Lamps Plus, then check ebay and check Amazon too for whatever you decide upon.

I found the exact same lamps, new on ebay for $45 less than Lamps Plus. So it never hurts to at least look.
