You thought the Zimmerman case could not get more strange but it just did

prosecution beginning its close now - just made an excellent point.
GZ claims he didn't know TM was dead until many hours after the shooting, when he was told this by police

however, he rendered no aid to TM whatsoever after the shooting, even though EMT's and police went to work on him right away when they arrived, he also told the 911 dispatcher that he'd just killed TM.

Judge did not allow the 3rd degree murder/child abuse lesser charge, but the original lesser charges are still there including assault and manslaughter and some gun issues.

it's very common in criminal trials for the prosecution to alter the charges AFTER the evidence has been presented by both sides, it aids both the defendant and the prosecution and is a fair way to do things.

child abuse? why not robbery - he stole that teenager's life.

how many other charges could we attach with a little FLOR-I-DUH "imagination" (heat-addled brains)

I think the state right now is doing an excellent job ripping apart the defense theory.
Again, no idea what the jury will think.

the problem is what was Zimmerman doing that would be considered child abuse and does it matter that he couldn't tell TM was legally a child. (on the latter apparently it doesn't)

Go ahead and try that excuse for under age pRon.

iirc only manslaughter survived as a lesser included charge, not assault.
