Once again, the USPS fraks it up
#1
Early days, yet, but once again the USPS has marked a package as delivered to my house when it's not actually been delivered. I have learned to wait a bit; they often fudge the delivery times to try to make themselves look better on the tracking charts, but I'm getting pretty sick of it. Right; who isn't?

What bugs me the most was that this package -- a couple of toner cartridges -- were bought via Amazon by a vendor (ASAPTech) who would not accept P.O. Boxes as their delivery address. I stupidly assumed this meant they shipped UPS or FedEx but, alas, no. They ship USPS but just won't ship to a P.O. Box. That baffles me.

Just a vent/rant. I'm not hurting for the toner -- it's a "just replaced so I need to restock" situation -- but this kind of shit has happened to me with the postal service before. With UPS as well. And FedEx.

At least it wasn't shipped via Satan's own invention, UPS Mail Innovations.

I need a toner cart vendor. OEM. Someone I can just establish a business relationship with rather than deal with the fucktards I have to go through via Amazon.

I've never ever had this happen to me with the USPS. Nor have they ever lost or destroyed something I've ordered or sent. Go figure.

:dunno:

Recently I've had a problem with my local PO. I'll drop off a package and it will mistakenly get scanned as "delivered" rather than "accepted". So, that's all my buyer sees when they go to track their package, and then they freak out. I think USPS can still track the packages movement internally, but on the public tracking site, it will continue to show as "delivered". PIA, but they almost always still get delivered correctly.

I have a USPS package showing "out for delivery."
At 8:45 PM...
I have to say as well, that except for some media mail items a few years ago I don't tend to have as much trouble with USPS as with others (particularly FedEx-- the worst for me.)
