Best iPad Case/Stand and BT keyboard set up?
#1
In a shocking development, one of my wife's elderly uncles tossed his older PC and took my advice and got an iPad.

Getting it set up now after he and his wife and son in law spent a day "setting it up".

Seems they are overwhelmed by the NASA level technology of using a screen-style keyboard and probably are going to need a case/stand and BT keyboard set up. Any recommendations on which one?

Best part: He took the hard drive out of his old PC before he tossed it. Took the bare drive to Best Buy and asked the Geek Squad cats to sell him an adapter to connect the bare drive to his iPad so he could transfer all the photos. Geek Squad dudes sold him a bag full of cables and power adapters, said one of them should work.

Woot!

As far as I know, you cant connect an iPad to a drive unless its jailbroken... or a wireless hard drive.

Yeah, sorry, poorly written post. I told him it was impossible, even with all of the cables that Best Buy sold him.

They just need a one piece iPad case and stand that has a BT keyboard in it, make the whole iPad a little more computer-like for them.

The only decent one I've seen in the Logitech one. But it costs $99. i already have an Apple Wireless Keyboard, so I can't in good conscience spend $99 on something I don't really need.

I just bought the Logitech $99 one over the weekend (always swore I wouldn't buy one) and really like it. Great for trips when I don't want to bring the laptop but might need to hook up and write something extra.
