Hanging a flag by the run, top-fly left, or right?
#1
How's that for an obscure question?

I'm hanging some historic and other-national flags in my computer lab for educational-decoration...

When hanging a flag by the "run", the side with the grommets that hook to the flagpole, should the top "fly" (the long edge) be on the left, or the right?

Another way to look at it is... clockwise or counterclockwise from it's normal flying position?

The US flag in the room will be hung properly on a staff, and higher than all others used as wall-hangings... FYI...

If anyone knows which way is "proper", I'd appreciate it! (otherwise, I'll hang them all the same way, whichever I choose...).

I am ashamed, that as a former cub, weeblos, boy and sea scout, that I had to look it up.
