Anyone know how this new 4GB card stacks up against a Radeon 5570 for Photoshop and Premiere Pro?
That 4GB video card in the updated iMac is calling me like a siren

Well, a card in the Mac Pro will be a desktop, so you have to take that in to account. I just saw a desktop Radeon 7950 at Newegg for $189 after coupons and rebates.
The extra memory in the new iMac means very little for Photoshop users, but it is a Cuda GPU, so that means it will be the fastest Mac available for Adobe users (at least until the new Mac Pro comes out and then Adobe comes out for a special version for them).

Remember, it has no optical drive. If you don't have fast internet, downloading programs to install them is going to crush your soul.
Barefeats said he is going to have a test of the new fastest machine. I am expecting it might take 3 weeks to show up. You have to comb through Geekbench results until then. I expect the new PCIe Fusion Drive is going to smoke every other computer that does not have at least 16 GB of RAM in anything that is remotely related to hard drive access.

No video card specific results, but the new one has slower stream memory bandwidth...(?).

The 4GB may not increase Pshop abilities but it will handle multiple monitors easier, right?

i don't think so. Those days are long gone. More GPU memory allows for more complicated content and rendering. I would be surprised if you'd notice a difference with photoshop but i haven't kept up with photoshop lately.

If you were talking about a regular computer without a built-in display, 4GB would be just about right for connecting two 4K displays but the point is moot unless Apple hid the fact that the new iMac supports two 4K displays. Is it secretly Thunderbolt 1.2, or will the old Thunderbolt ports have some way to convert to HDMI 2.0? Apple sure is scr3wing the 4K pooch with it's "new" models.

People aren't exactly yelling from the rooftops for 4K displays. Joe Public, where all computer companies make their profits from, is quite content at 1920x1080 or 2560x1440.
