For those more intimately connected with him than me, and I believe there are a few here, is Rudie in the middle of or more removed from the tragedy in the Philippines?

I didn't realize the death toll is now up to 93 from the 7.2 earthquake.
IIRC, Rudy lives on the same island as the capital, north of where the earthquake struck.

Thanks for your concern August. I am well north of the Earthquake.
I have friends in Cebu and I have spent a week on the Island of Panglao, Bohol. I have also been to Tagbilaran city. "The quake was centered about 620 kilometers (385 miles) south-southeast of Manila, near Catigbian, and its depth was 20 kilometers (12 miles), according to the U.S. Geological Survey. The Philippines disaster council gave the temblor a slightly higher rating, 7.2 magnitude." I hope our members from Japan are also safe and well. Drew and Guy Gene and anyone else I have overlooked. http://edition.cnn.com/2013/10/16/world/...?hpt=hp_t3 "Typhoon Wipha hits Tokyo area, killing at least 17 By Yoko Wakatsuki, Junko Ogura and Katie Hunt, CNN October 16, 2013 Tokyo (CNN) -- At least 17 people have died and hundreds of flights have been canceled as Typhoon Wipha pummeled the Tokyo area on Wednesday. A local government official in Oshima, a small island 120 km (75 miles) south of Tokyo, said that a majority of the people died after heavy rain triggered flooding and landslides that blocked roads and crushed houses. Rescuers were unable to reach about some people in the area hit by landslides. More than 500 domestic and international flights were canceled at Tokyo's Narita and Haneda airports and the national rail operator halted bullet train services in central and northern Japan."

I'm happy to hear you were farther away and I hope for a speedy recovery for those more nearby. I didn't know about the threat of the typhoon, hope our Japan contingent is safe also!

Thanks again for your kind words August . . . I also want to sincerely apologize for my rudeness.
You have made me smile with your patience and tolerance. Sometimes the deeevil makes me do it  I am happy to know our members from Japan are safe. I also have a brother in-law currently in Tokoshima, Naruto. I have not heard any news about him or his mother yet. As for the people from the Philippines they do suffer greatly from these tragedies. I hope the Government expedites the aid and help they need, Rudie *(:>*

Rude boy is just a reference to reggae/ska music, it wasn't meant as any kind of put down. Sorry if that wasn't clear.
