Interesting you said this- was talking recently with a friend. She is African American and her husband is Caucasian. Their three adopted children are Caucasian and are biological siblings so they all look alike but none of the kids look like her husband, or her, obviously.

She said she used to look forward to the day when all three kids were old enough to talk so it would be clear to everyone that she and her husband are "Mama" and "Daddy", but once she had three kids under the age of 5 who could all talk, she had a whole new set of problems.
