Best wireless AC router?

Oh, and read the comments for that ars article you posted. Bunch of people are making the same distinction as I about making sure any router you choose is actually simultaneous dual band as many routers are only either/or with their support of frequencies. I don't think AC has the same problem, but picking an 802.11n router can be tricky because of the varying support.

I'm still trying to find one. The comments are mostly old at this point, but one person pointed out that they bought a D-Link that wasn't simultaneous dual band. So I went through all of D-Link's current routers and there's a handful that do not list "simultaneous" on the feature list on the main router page for dual band routers. So I researched those routers, and they can all do both frequencies at the same time.

My point is that just because they don't say "simultaneous dual band" doesn't mean it doesn't do both at the same time. And I have yet to find one that was marketed as "dual band" that wasn't simultaneous dual band. Whichever one I end up with, I'll make sure it's a true dual band router.
