Think I can use that as a boot drive in a PC?

The motherboard needs to have UEFI BIOS to boot from a primary partition larger than 2 TB.

Nice. I was browsing Newegg for 4TB drives earlier today. Just what I was looking for!

I ordered one yesterday for my Drobo.

5400rpm, I wish I could get a deal on 7200rpm HGSTs. They spin down and are noticeably slow to start up if you haven accessed them in a while, though the Drobo may have something to do with that.

$153 seems to be B%H's regular price for this drive, so I only ordered one instead of two.

Did not know. Thanks. Guess it'll just say as storage in my HTPC with a C2D.

In the same thread, someone mentions that B&H has the Touro External 4TB USB 3.0 for $139.99.

If you want it internal, pull it from the case.

(I've used this drive. Seems to be pretty good. NewEgg is selling it for $20 bucks more.)
