New iPhone's free IOS apps
#1
I picked up a new iPhone a couple months ago and got the free apple apps. Is it possible to move them to my iPad?

Thanks.

Go to the iTunes Store. See if they are available for the iPad, if so you can download the free, as you have already paid for them.

Go to "Purchased" in the app store on your iPad, if they both have the sane account they should be able to download.

Or, if you sync with iTunes, just check to see if the apps are there in your app list when you're plugged in.

Which apps were free? I vaguely recall this, but had completely forgotten about it until now.

Also, there are some free Apple apps that were designed for the iPhone/Touch only, e.g. Compass and Calculator. Those you can't put on your iPad.

iWork apps. I don't remember if these apps are drive specific or if it's one app that works on all iOS devices.

I think they're *specific* versions but either way, they're free with the purchase of a new iDevice, for all iDevices.

Thanks for the responses, everyone. I backed up the apps from the iPhone to the MBP, and am now loading them onto iPad. Pages, Numbers, Keynote, Garageband, iPhoto, and iMovie.
