why are all my Apps up to date?
#1
here is why: because I decided to reset all my iPhone settings hoping that would fix an issue with exchange server at work, and foolishly I didn't spend the time to go through settings to check all of them out, and now iOS 7 decided to update all my Apps. Maybe I do not like the new Apps. Why does Apple insist of updating Apps?

Apple: make the default OFF and let this who want this feature turn it ON.

Apple SUX at making App management easy. The more Apps you have, the harder it gets.

The "why" is that a lot of people, myself included, hated the little red alert for 4-6 apps to be updated every freaking day, and we hated going in and entering our password and "manually" updating so frequently.

That's why Apple insists on updating apps. However, I do understand your frustration in having the control taken away from you and having an app updated when you didn't want it.

I guess they can't please everyone.

You can't downgrade from a bad app upgrade unless you archive all apps through iTunes with each update. I've had apps remove features at Apple's request, but I didn't know the feature was removed because Apple bars (barred?) the developer from making mention in the app description. Automatic updates is a gamble that I no longer opt into since the repercussions of a bad update are felt by the user, to a lesser extent the developer, and not at all by Apple.
