posted about this on Saturday. I ended up with some glue traps and mechanical traps. I didn't think much when I bought the glue traps, I was in the store and I bought whatever the salesman showed me. But thanks to the wise advice of the MRF community, I decided to not use the glue traps. Those go back to Home Depot next time I shop there.
Victor Metal Pedal Rat Traps on the other hand work great. I caught 2 rats on Monday and one today. it seems the frequency of rat sightings has decrease considerably, I believe (or at least I like to think) there were only a handful of rats and 3 are already gone. I will continue to keep the traps until I go 2 weeks without any sighting or trapping any rat.
The really good news is that the cheese I use to bait the traps does not seem to attract squirrels or chipmunks. not that I am particularly fond of these two species of rodents, but they are not my target at the moment. so far, 3 kills were all rats.
