Utah Students Upset About Altered Yearbook Pics

My 3rd grader's school photos had a "retouch" option when ordering, it was an extra $10? I think.

my youngest had a huge scrape on her face from taking the most awesome face plant known to man playing soccer and I *still* would never retouch it out.

A few minutes old on the left, a few days old on the right. =)

So how was the visit from Child Protective Services?

Looks like the entire girls cross-country team is in violation.

Don't pretty much all schools have dress codes? And I hate to say it, but I can understand why they might have a little higher standards for yearbook pictures. I will say I don't find the pics particularly immodest though. I can see where it might not represent the school in the way they might like though (schools seem to be increasingly concerned with PR). kj.

District officials apologized about the alterations being applied inconsistently and said they were evaluating the policy on doctoring photos.

I'm picturing a document that says "Photo Doctoring Policy" at the top....

their school yearbook photos were digitally altered, with sleeves and higher necklines drawn on to cover bare skin.

Is it because they are minors that they are denied the right to bare arms?

Hahaa. I know it’s a week late but here’s a page from that very same yearbook:
