I'm think of driving a NASCAR Stock Car or Exotic car in Orlando for a few laps around the track. Looks like fun. Has anyone else done this?

Yes, great experience!
I did it at the Charlotte Motor Speedway in Charlotte, NC. It was a birthday present from my wife and son. If I recall correctly it was 9 laps chasing a professional driver. As a first time participant the speeds were limited to about 145 MPH. There were only a couple of other tandem teams on the track at the time. The car was rock solid and the turns were highly banked - not a lot of lateral G's in the turns like on a flat track. Enjoy!!

What track? Daytona?

They have the "Richard Petty Driving Experience" at Disney World. I've never done it. I've also seen some company advertise where you do 3 laps around a track in a Ferrari or Lamborghini for $99. Haven't done that either. Obviously they're both popular enough, otherwise they wouldn't be around. I just have no interest in something like that.

I did a Groupon deal at Raceway Park in NJ a while back. Several laps in a Lamborghini (several other "Super Cars" were available too). There was a "Safety" attendant in the front right seat (he had a brake pedal). The company doing it was VERY poorly organized. The track itself was quite small with a straightaway well under a mile long so, you really could NOT see how well the Lambo could do.
Had this been better organized and, at a track with a decent straightaway, I could see this could be a lot of fun.

I did some laps at the Disney tri oval in the NASCAR. Pretty cool. You drive your own car, alone but follow a professional driver. Cars are limited to about 130 mph, at which they can take the turns so you can just drive full speed around the whole track. But it is a real stock car

It looks like both the Richard Petty Driving Experience and Exotic Driving operate at the 1 mile tri-oval at WDW Speedway. I'll give one of them a try. Daytona is a 3 hour roundtrip drive from Orlando - not my first choice.

A co-worker did the Mid-Ohio Acura high performance course at the Mid-Ohio track in Mansfield, Ohio (Between Cleveland and Columbus) this summer. He LOVED it. Basically autocross and then the Mid-Ohio racetrack (which is very challenging.. lots of twists and turns. NOT your basic "Turn left !" NASCAR track )
