Just caught this article and it made me very happy. When you set up the Apple watch, you can choose the orientation of the device and the digital crown will be on the lower left instead of upper right.
I am thrilled to hear this. It was almost a deal killer for me. Thank you for addressing this Apple!

I was wondering about this - thanks, Rick.

I also was wondering... Glad to see their thinking different hasn't excluded a meaningful chunk of the general population and likely a higher proportion of their user-base.
I'm still trying to figure out what you actually DO with an Apple Watch, however.

Then stop.
You'll only pull a lobe.
If there is nothing that this watch does that interests you, don't give it another thought. MAYBE, somewhere down the line, a dev will create an app that will give this watch purpose in your life.
But at this point, if you don't feel know what you can do with this watch, why bother.

My girlfriend is left-handed and she asked me if it might be compatible.
There was no mention in the Keynote as to this functionality, I wasn't sure.
But it seemed like a good bet, and I said that surely (and she said don't call me that) Apple has considered this. Why wouldn't they? I thought it might be one of many unmentioned features that will surface when the watch is in the wild.
And sure enough… She found a reference that you choose the "hand-side" in the initial setup.
This is probably common in all the smart watches to date, but I would have been disappointed if this didn't make Rev A (and yes, I know).
