Engadget OS X Visual History:

Nice quick look. Would have preferred the addition of the first releases of OS X Server as well. While basically the same as Mac OS 8.6-9.2.2, there were some differences. Either way, enjoyable way to spend a few minutes.

nice but I noticed some small inconsistencies.

for 10.7 they say this:

FaceTime, first introduced with the iPhone 4, let users make calls from their desktop, and the Mac App Store also made its debut, giving Apple a 30 percent cut of desktop apps.

in fact FaceTime and Mac App Store were available in 10.6.x in a later update.

People forget, or actually never realize, that OS X Server that was released in 1999, and I wish they would include that on these lists before the as-we-know-it-now desktop version of OS X 10.0.

I used that for a few years, probably through 2003.

It was a mix of OS 8, then 9, and NeXT and what much of the future desktop version was built on.

I used all versions of OSX (including Rhapsody) and Panther was my first daily driver.
