Ford and Interest

My wife bought an '04 Ford Explorer 2 years ago next month. It has 40K miles on it
and is in Excellent condition, still looks like the day she bought it. She thought
about trading it in. This vehicle stickered for $34K, with my Supplier Discount and
rebates we got it for like $26K. They offered her $12.5K for on a trade for a new
Toyota 4Runner and $13K for trade on a new Tahoe. No more Ford for me. Also
had to have the rear diffirential seals, independent rearend, replaced at 38K miles,
$276. I've been driving Fords for 15 years. On the otherhand my '91 Explorer has
been a great vehicle, it has 227K miles on it and we've spent about $600 on it in
major repairs, intake manifold gasket and a starter. My newest car is my Scion xA,
love it, 38mpg.

BTW: Some of those 0% offers require a 750+ beacon score, not many people have that but if they can get you in the door.........

Anyone remember the last american car maker to partner up with Renault?
That partnership was one of many nails in the coffin for AMC, but it did bring us wonderful cars like the Alliance, leCar and the Feugo. Try and find any of these today. they've all become one with the earth again.

I'd be interested in that! My 2000 Mustang went for 100k miles in 5 years! The only thing I had to replace was tires and brakes and a mirror that someone else knocked off! My prev 86 Stang was good for 178k in 10 years. It went thru alot of wear and tear, but repairs were cheap for a teenager!
