SanDisk 64GB iXpand Flash Drive for iPhone and iPad
#1
This looks interesting. I wonder how clunky it would be to attach, and what the effect on battery life would be.

Anything for older iPhones with 30 pin connector?

I like the concept, but would rather see a cable connecting the drive and device.

If it's the size of the their 32G USB3 drive, then I think it would be pretty clunky indeed. I'd worry about knocking the drive around and snapping the Lighting connector.

Many stands for iDevices wouldn't work with the drive plugged in unless you used the horizontal orientation.

maybe they can come up with a case that holds the extra memory and maybe some extra battery.

According to that youtube video, the iXpand has its own battery, so no drain on the device to which it's attached.

That was a really good review, something I'm not really used to seeing from c|net.

The drive is a little pricey for my taste, but when it drops, I'll probably grab one.

I liiiike it.
