An Oral History of Laurel Canyon, the 60s and 70s Music Mecca
#1
For anyone interested in the topic, this is a great article of recollections from a number of the musicians who were there and with some amazing photos including some from Henry Diitz:

"They made music together, took drugs together, formed bands together, slept together. But none of the legends of the Laurel Canyon scene that flowered in L.A. in the late 60s and early 70s—Joni Mitchell, David Crosby, Linda Ronstadt, and others—remember it quite the same way."

"Young girls are coming to the canyon
And in the morning I can see them walking
I can no longer keep my blinds drawn
And I can't keep myself from talking.

I am grateful that I got to hang out in Topanga Canyon and Laurel Canyon back in the days. What a wonderful era that was. No paparazzi. People just hanging out together.

what a bunch of pretentious old f's! Can't wait til I get to that age.
seems most of the women still have their heads on the shoulders, but the men. wow!
Linda, Bonnie, Souther, Geffen and Roberts weathered the storm best.
It's somewhat embarrassing how much of these kooks music I still enjoy.
Other than Hackson Browne.
