frequent updates are a good thing™
:agree:
Frequent security updates are far better than the alternative. Microsoft went YEARS without updating IE. It was such a disaster, it would be hard to imagine how to make it worse.
:agree: as well. A Firefox update is usually done in the background and then I get a "restart Firefox?" type of dialog. Frequent updates are welcomed.

I dislike AUTO updates. I think those are a form of security risk.
Happy to have the software autocheck, then ask me for permission to update.

I got frustrated with the constant requests too - so I now do auto update and never even think about while running to most recent version.

I just updated to Firefox 39.0.3, it took approximately five seconds. Oh the horror...
For some, the thought of (shudder) restarting a browser, or (gasp) the entire machine, makes their bowels weak, and their stomach roil.
"Roiling Bowels" is a great name for a band...
