Why is that Gray Audio thing getting in the way of my Texting?

I am using 9.01 on my iPhone 5S, and when I try to dictate a message to text, that gray audio sprectrum keeps getting in the way.

Is there a setting, or am I pushing the wrong button?


I think I figured it out. I put my finger over the microphone at the end of the iMessage line, and left it there, then it popped up with an X to get rid of Gray Audio thingy

I had a similar problem. Mentioned in another thread. I accidentally opened it, I would type text and it was unreadable until you press send. No x came up for me though. I ended up just closing the program and re launching it. It happened a few times in 9.0. i did send an audio message by accident. I wish there was an option to disable that.
