iT7 Album Art
#1
I know this topic has been beaten into the ground since the release yesterday. Those of you that used the new feature of finding album art, did it take up a significant amount of hard drive space to add those (greater than 100mb)? I have precious few gigs left on my MacBook (120gb drive).

hmm, no one knows, eh? From what I've found, it looks like it *might* add 100k max to each mp3 file as the album art is embedded into the mp3 file.

It doesn't seem to take up very much room for me, although I can't remember the details, so it might be 100meg on 15 gigs of music. I like the album art a lot, so I think it is worth it. Once I had a problem with the art on the ipod, and so the easiest way to fix that is to remove it, and then resync it. When I did that I was surprised by how little space the art took on the ipod (a tiny percentage of the file size). The images are really small and really low res, so even thousands do not add up to much.

I'm not sure how much space it takes up, but I do have another question...

iT7 didn't find a lot of Art for my music (stuff that they sell, like DMB). Anyone know a way to find the music in the iTunes store, and then pull the art from there?

Go to allofmp3 and get the artwork there.

That's because it didn't really remove it in the first place.

Amazon.com also. Click on the image and drag it into the album artwork window inside iTunes.

Well, I initiated the album artwork search for my 18k library. It added 800mb in the mp3 folder, but I have no idea how many it actually added.
