How freaking pitiful is it that Toby didn't even make it in the top two! He has the most talent out of all of them. Oh well, I guess that freak trio needs a freak frontperson. Toby should get a solo gig. We've all trashed the program and "talent" of both the competitors and the band they're trying to win a spot on. We all know that the house band is the most talented on the show too. So save this thread for your reactions to tonights show.

Nasty no talent punk boy. Good fit for the band of has-beens. But of course you knew that scary D would get the consolation prize of singing with Dave and the House Band.

Well, if you think about it, the choice makes $ense. I think they made a good pick for themselves.

IMHO:
The little bug-kid really was the best front person of the whole bunch, even though his voice is so-so, and they were picking a front person. He played the part of a rock star, has good front man attitude, played to the crowd the best and he also looked the part. He also looks like he's a little squirrely in the head and that always helps a rock front person.

Everyone except the scary chick dressed like they were going to the mall or sumptin. That's not what they needed in a front person even tho that's a trend in pop music today. The rest of them just didn't look the part and I can tell you from 25 yrs in that biz that looks counts more than musical talent 99.9% of the time in that type of music.

The scary chick had the best voice by far, to my ear, if you were to measure voice as an instrument - she had pitch, range and power, but she really wasn't a great preforming front person.

Toby was a better front man, had an ok voice, but he was as bland as they all are and they really would have been way too pop with him - something I don't think would have made much with all their respective images. I thought he might have gotten it a week ago but in hindsight, it really didn't make sense.

Notice they want to cut tracks with the scary chick - she can sing.

Yep. I really started loosing interest in the rock muzik biz around the time of Bowie and platform shoes. It only got worse as time went on and the Artie Fufkin types started figuring they could package "product/talent".

I never "got" the necessity of dressing up like halloween as a requirement in order to play music. Nowadays the dressing up is down to a science but the playing and writing is mostly pretty mediocre.
