Wouldn't heat potentially cause the Velcro adhesive to lose its grip on either SSD or iMac metal?

The issue with the date and time is due to the security certificates used to validate installers. They're only valid within a certain date-range.

This. On the flip side, since certificates can expire, I had a bunch of archived installers become invalid. Had to redownload all the updates again. That was fun!
Found another weird possible date/certificate bug last week when I updated a 10.5 system to 10.6. Used the 10.6.3 retail DVD, and then instead of trying my saved 10.6.8 Combo which I knew was old, I just let it try to install everything that Software Update found, which included 10.6.8 Combo.

Software Update failed with it's installs which surprised me. The fix is to uncheck all of the updates and then have it install just the 10.6.8 update. Once that's installed it can succeed with the rest.

Is the PRAM battery visible or must the entire computer be disassembled to get at it?
