I read that this remote is pretty touchy to open and repair.
But when I go to turn up the volume, nothing happens, but when I grab the ACTUAL device remote it works fine.
Volume down works fine.

I love what Harmony remotes do, but I hate how short the lifespan is.
If you want to keep it going, try remapping volume up to some other button.

I've disassembled mine before b/c I spilled some tea in it. Eventually the keys became gummy. I figured if unopened it up I could clean it out. Unfortunately after opening I could not discern the cause of the sticky keys. I cleaned everything very good. But the keys were still. Kind of crappy. After reassembly it worked fine. Just not fun to use. But not b/c if the disassembly. I ended up getting a harmony ultimate to replace it. If yours works I'd leave it with the keys programmed elsewhere. I actually had my volume keys set to two other hard buttons as well as the official ones. But if you've got nothing to lose go ahead and crack it. I think I followed directions in ifixit.
