FOUND: Mac OS X 10.4 Install DVD
#1
I am trying to resurrect an old G4 iMac for a digital picture frame project and am in need of a 10.4 install DVD. I have a copy of it, but I am getting an error stating the disc is damaged.

Anyone have a copy they are wanting to get rid of?

Thanks!

Got a Mac with FireWire and a DVD (or better) drive? Try Target Disk Mode to see if another Mac's drive will read the DVD and install an OS on the G4.

I think I have a 10.4 DVD that came as an upgrade to 10.3 (I got a PowerBook just when 10.4 came out). I don't think it is machine specific, but it does required 10.3 to install over (or at least 10.3 on another drive attached to that computer). There may be a way to bypass the 10.3 requirement, but I never bothered to try it. I won't be able to make a copy until I get back next week. PM if still interested a week from now.

space-time and artie67,

Thanks for your offer to assist. Another member reached out to me via PM and has helped me with the disc.
