OT: Grr to UPS
#1
I was to have several deliveries on Wed. I waited and waited. Nada...I checked online and sure enuf the pkgs had been delivered at 7:36 p.m. that day to my front porch. No pkgs. Thursday came and online it said 2 pkgs were delivered to my front door at 4:22 p.m. NADA!

My neightbor down the street delivered my pkgs UPS had delivered to her house! The addresses were perfectly clear on the pkgs AND OUR RESPECTIVE HOMES! I tried to call the UPS site and got a dead head and when I asked him to report the delivery man was unresponsive. Every time I said "don't you care your driver is making mistakes?" His only response was "We are sorry".

I hope I don't have anymore pkgs to be delivered or NOT delivered.Confusedmiley-talk034:

Everyone should live error free lives so we always get our precious packages.
On time.
With a smile and a thank you ma'am.

What difference at this point does it make ?

They left them safely with a neighbor. Yeah, that's the ticket.

Good thing the neighbor is trustworthy. I would think that one might have problems getting a refund on a lost item if tracking shows that it was delivered, and does not indicate the address at which the package was left.

I haven't had this problem with USPS. Their specialty is the Phantom Delivery. After this non-event occurs, you can schedule re-delivery, but an actual delivery attempt is not going to happen. Notice of the alleged attempted delivery will probably turn up days or weeks later, long after you have given up and gone to the local post office branch to retrieve it.

I know. The untrustworthy crossed my mind and these were expensive items. I have always returned to UPS any miss deliveries not around where I live but I don't think you can always count on people's honesty. Calling UPS got me NOWHERE.

Why should they care? What are you going to do? Not use them in the future? It's not like you really have a choice most of the time. Maybe complain to the company that SENT the package and encourage them to use more reliable shipping companies (if they exist)...
