Took some treats. If the leash was not loose, took a 90 degree turn saying HEEL (not yelling), gave treat when she complied. After 1/2 mile, I dropped the leash and she never left my side.
 Happy day.

Ah, you have a cooperative dog. That tells me that you must NOT have a wire fox terrier.
