Ogio has some extremely well built pieces,
on a smaller size, you seem to favor...

and something I would, that still would work for my overseas flights....

And if your luggage gets lost lost in the crowd.....

some carryon restrictions have changed on a few airlines (with more to follow). They are enforcing strict dimensions for each surface. The size limits are now 22" long x 14" wide x 9" tall. If any one of those is exceeded, the bag must be checked (with a fee). Many current bags are 15" wide and will not fit through the carry-one gate now being used.

On the advice of the Forum world traveller, Samintex, we bought IT bags. The have been great; tougher than they look and feather light. They are also affordable and fit the size restrictions above

We bought 2 of these:

They've held up very well. I bought them when they were on a daily sale and paid $90 each.

Hi everyone,

After checking out a slew of bags, I decided on a Eagle Creek Tarmac International Carry-on. It had the features I wanted, appears to be seriously durable and has a great warranty.

I took advantage of Memorial Day sales to reduce the price by well over $100. Factor in additional discounts and cash back bonuses via ebates and my credit card and I shaved a _huge_ amount of bucks off the price tag.

Thanks for the suggestions!

Robert
