Preferred Flash/Thumb Drive?

Zoidberg,

I think it was $59. Not the cheapest, but don't care to mess with rebates if not absolutely necessary.

Just found it also online at Sams. http://www.samsclub.com/eclub/main_shopp...Cookie=yes&n=0&mt=a&coe=0&oidPath=0:-23542:-23589:-43881:-43920:-43925:924684

Don't know if the link will work - looks like there is a cookie.

as long as they're rated for usb 2 it shouldn't make much difference..., the bigger concerns are (a) amount of plastic around the connector, too much and it starts blocking adjacent ports on some machines, and (b) the actual amount of power it draws, as some can be chained off of keyboards and other non-powered devices, while others require a juiced port to work. I had a 512MB sandisk cruzer mini that works everywhere, and thought by buying a 1GB same model cruzer mini it would be fine; turned out be a no go, 1GB likes powered or mobo ports only. $35 no rebate black friday fry's 1GB pny attache special works everywhere, but is a bit bulky (still wished I'da bought a couple more). also, from what I've heard on the street, same vendor's same size & model can vary, regardless of what the specs say. you're on the right track for the current version of sneaker net.
